Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive Resounding Success

The “Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive” that took place on August 5th was a resounding success! Special thanks must go out to the MOMS Club of Crofton, Chick-fil-A at Waugh Chapel, Vuong’s Taekwondo, and everyone else who donated, participated, or volunteered. At Trunnell Law, LLC, nothing makes us happier than knowing we did something great for our community.

Due to everyone’s generosity, the event was able to benefit a total of 52 students on the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services list. This is two more backpacks than we anticipated, so the drive was able to help an additional student in Piney Orchard and one in Millersville Elementary. Crofton Middle School also felt the love and generosity of the charity program, as it received 15 T-83 calculators, 15 high-quality logo drawstring bags, several 2-inch and 3-inch binders, and a myriad of other school supplies that they had requested.

A big part of encouraging the growth of curious minds is field trips. Being able to leave the classroom to experience new lessons firsthand is an incredible opportunity for schoolchildren. But sometimes a field trip can be pricey, due to cost of transportation, admission to parks, museums, and galleries, lunch fees, etc. As part of the Stuff the Bus School Supply Drive, a Field Trip Fund was set up to help students who cannot afford field trips on their own pay for some of the costs. Each school that received backpacks will also receive a donation to this fund!

Once again, this event was such a great success because of people like you who care about their community, and we are so proud to be able to say we were a part of it.
