Types of Child Custody
There are two different types of custody. They include:
- Legal Custody - The person who is granted legal custody has the ability
to make important decisions for the children, including education and
- Physical Custody - This custody determines where the child will live and
can be shared by both parents, or can be granted to just one parent.
When determining which parent will get legal and physical custody, the
courts look at a number of factors, including each parent's ability
to provide for the child, the relationship between the child and the parents
and the character and reputation of parent. Our law firm is dedicated
to pursuing your personal objectives with regard to custody, and we will
seek out any evidence to support your case if you are seeking sole custody.
